Some handset models may continue to check network availability, even if roaming settings are disabled on the device (perhaps due to overzealous network detection!). This process consumes a small amount of roaming data.
In such cases, it’s difficult for any network operator to distinguish whether the device is actively attempting to connect to a roaming network or simply checking the network availability automatically. As a result, Circles allows you to roam seamlessly at AutoRoam rates if a request is received from your device.
To help you manage roaming on these devices, Circles offers a fail-safe option to enable or disable roaming settings directly from the Circles app. Steps shown here.
For a smooth roaming experience with AutoRoam or our SuperRoam/GoRoam packs, we recommend enabling Data, Voice, and SMS Roaming in the Circles app. If you prefer not to AutoRoam on any of Circles’ preferred networks, you can easily disable these roaming settings in the app.
