1. Personal Accident Coverage
Accidental Death and Permanent Disablement
- Coverage applies if the insured sustains bodily injury during the journey, resulting in death or permanent disablement within 12 months.
- Compensation is based on the Benefit Percentage applied to the capital sum insured.

Special Conditions:
- Total compensation for multiple disabilities from the same injury cannot exceed 100% of the capital sum insured.
- The insurer determines the percentage for disabilities not listed.
- The insured’s occupation is not considered in assessing disablement.
2. Travel Inconvenience Cover
a) Travel Delay
- Compensation for delays exceeding 6 hours due to strikes, adverse weather, civil commotion, terrorism, mechanical issues, or serious illness/injury of passengers.
- Exclusions:
- Costs recoverable from carriers or other sources.
- Traveling against medical advice or for medical treatment.
b) Baggage Delay
- Coverage for delays exceeding 6 hours due to misdirection or temporary misplacement by carriers.
c) Baggage, Electronic Equipment & Travel Documents
- Coverage for loss, theft, or damage to:
- Baggage (personal property taken or acquired during the journey).
- Electronic equipment (e.g., laptops, mobile phones, cameras).
- Travel documents (passports, tickets, visas).
- Special Conditions:
- Report loss to police or carrier within 72 hours.
- Maximum payout per article: SGD 200 (unless endorsed).
- Replacement only for mobile phones, not contractual obligations.
- Additional travel and hotel expenses covered for replacing travel documents.
Exclusions:
- Confiscation by authorities, freight shipments, wear and tear, electronic data/software issues, and unattended items (unless in locked premises).
3. General Exclusions
The policy does not cover loss or expenses arising from:
- War, declared or undeclared.
- Armed force duties (except peacetime reservist training).
- Dangerous activities (e.g., conveyance testing, manual work, mining).
- Self-inflicted injuries or suicide.
- Professional sports or racing.
- Alcohol or drug influence (unless medically prescribed).
- Radiation or nuclear contamination.
- Mental or behavioral disorders.
- Pre-existing medical conditions.
- Traveling against medical advice or for medical care.
- Illegal acts or confiscation by authorities.
- HIV/AIDS-related conditions.
- Ignoring travel advisories from relevant authorities.
Definitions
1. Accident or Accidental
A sudden, unforeseen, and identifiable event that occurs unexpectedly, causing Bodily Injury to the Insured Person.
2. Aggregate Limit of Liability
The maximum amount payable for all losses under Benefit 1 - Accidental Death and Permanent Disablement.
- If losses exceed this limit, benefits are proportionately reduced to stay within the aggregate limit.
3. Bodily Injury
Identifiable physical injury to the Insured Person’s body caused by an Accident, independent of sickness or disease.
4. Benefit
The specific benefit specified in the Schedule, payable under the terms of this Policy for each covered event or loss.
5. Capital Sum Insured
The maximum lump sum payable for the Insured Person’s Accidental death or Permanent Disablement.
6. Civil Commotion
A disturbance or disorder caused by civilians, typically in opposition to a governing body or its policies.
7. Common Carrier
Any licensed land, water, or air conveyance transporting passengers for hire.
8. Country of Residence
The country where the Insured Person resides at the Policy start date or is working for more than 182 days.
9. Cyber Incident
Covers issues like:
- Unauthorized access/use of a computer system/network
- Malware infections
- Electronic attacks or security breaches
- Loss or unauthorized disclosure of confidential data
Includes accidental failures of a computer system or network.
10. Declarations
Details incorporated into and forming part of this Policy.
11. Effective Date
The date from which insurance coverage begins for the Insured Person.
12. Elements
Extreme weather conditions such as drought, heatwaves, sandstorms, and blizzards.
13. Fractured Leg or Patella with Established Non-union
A complete break into two pieces that fails to heal properly, resulting in permanent dysfunction.
14. Hospital
An establishment that:
- Operates under a license (if required)
- Provides inpatient medical care and treatment
- Is staffed with licensed physicians and nurses
- Maintains facilities for diagnosis and major surgery
Excludes clinics, rest homes, mental institutions, or special units for substance abuse.
15. Inception Date
The date the Policy first becomes effective, as stated in the Policy Schedule.
16. Insured
The Policyholder.
17. Insured Person
Individuals named or described in the Policy Schedule, aged 16 years or older at the Effective Date.
18. Journey
Travel made by the Insured Person outside their Country of Residence, with the following conditions:
- Minimum 100km apart from their usual employment or residence.
- Limited to 30 days or the Policy's expiry date.
- Ends upon reaching employment, residence, or hotel at the destination for one-way travel.
19. Loss Definitions
- Loss of Fingers or Toes: Complete severance above the joint.
- Loss of Limb: Complete severance of a hand above the wrist or foot above the ankle.
- Loss of Sight: Total, irreversible blindness in one or both eyes.
- Loss of Speech and Hearing: Irrecoverable and beyond remedy by surgery or treatment.
- Loss of Use: Total functional disability of a limb or organ.
20. Medical Expenses
Necessary and reasonable expenses for medical or surgical treatment due to Bodily Injury or Sickness.
21. Natural Catastrophe
Includes events like cyclones, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, landslides, and volcanic eruptions.
22. Permanent Total Disablement
A disability lasting over 365 days, preventing any employment for life with no hope of improvement.
23. Physician
A licensed medical practitioner, including Chinese physicians, chiropractors, and psychiatrists, but excluding relatives of the Insured Person unless approved.
24. Pre-Existing Conditions
Medical conditions for which treatment, diagnosis, or consultation occurred within 12 months before the Policy's Effective Date.
25. Serious Injury or Serious Sickness
- For the Insured Person: A life-threatening condition certified by a Physician as unfit for travel.
- For family members: A condition causing trip cancellation or discontinuation.
26. Strike
Acts by workers in protest, lock-out resistance, or actions by authorities to suppress such activities.
27. Terrorism
Activities using force or violence for political, religious, ideological, or similar purposes, aimed at influencing governments or causing public fear.
28. Usual, Reasonable, and Customary Medical Expenses
Charges for necessary treatments that align with local standards and would not occur without insurance.
29. War
Armed conflict or hostilities between nations, declared or undeclared.
30. We/Us/Our

31. Worldwide
Covers all regions, including Regional Countries (e.g., Australia, India, Japan, and others).
