If you're having issues with connecting to a network while overseas, double check that you have done the first 2 steps here to turn on your Roaming Settings!
Troubleshooting Tips
1. Ensure that you're connected to the preferred network!
Your phone should connect to the correct network automatically. However, if it doesn't work, try connecting manually.
View our list of preferred networks by countries here.
iOS: Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection > Turn off 'Automatic' > Select preferred network
For iOS users with multiple data plans added: Settings > Mobile Data > Data Plans > Select your Circles.Life plan > Network Selection > Turn off 'Automatic' > Select preferred network
Android: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Select Manually > Select preferred network
[Update as of 17 Oct '23] If you are not able to connect to any preferred network, you are probably in a country in which we do not have any preferred networks established as of now. You can refer to the list of countries here, for more information.
2. Check if your APN setting is set to Sunsurf
iOS: APN is set automatically and you will not be able to change your APN setting. You can reset your APN setting by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Please note that network reset may erase the WiFi names and password saved on your devices.
Android: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Check that APN is set to 'Sunsurf'.
Click here for more information about setting APN
3. Toggle your in-app Roaming Settings
Go to your Circles.Life app Roaming > Roaming settings > Roaming/IDD.
Select 'Roaming off' and then reselect 'Data, Voice and SMS Roaming' again.
4. Restart your phone and/or reinsert the SIM card if you have completed the steps above but still not getting any roaming data connection.
